Killing A Criminal According To Archbishop Socrates Villegas is A Sin

According to Lingayen Dagupan Archbishop Socrates, "you cannot solve the problem of drugs which kills people, by killing people who kill people.”
"Our children might grow up thinking killing is correct, or that there are some people exempted from the commandments," Villegas added.
This was the reminder of Villegas that killing in any form is a sin whether the person who is being killed is a criminal.
He stood against extra-judicial killings in the war on drugs.

In a blog post of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said "Filipinos should not tolerate criminals to kill innocent people. If killing is to save many innocent lives,  why would it be a sin? I think people have different interpretations about sin, and the Arcbishop should respect it."

One may wonder, how can Villegas be so naïve? So many people have been killed by these criminals.  I really don't understand what kind of Church leaders we have now in someone like Villegas. He has not even found a solution to stop them. If criminals are free to do whatever they want, we actually tolerate and allow these innocent people to be killed. So I don't think Villegas understand that.
