Quick Survey: Do You Think The Late President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. Is A Hero?
By Alon Calinao Dy: After decades of battle, the late President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., has finally had a funeral ceremony at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani after President Duterte and Supreme Court made a final decision to bury him there.
Do you think the late president Marcos is a hero? If yes, what are the reason why you called him a hero? Does he deserve to be buried at the hero's cemetery?
The burial of the late President Marcos has had a lot controversies among his critics particularly on Martial law victims. It is true that a lot of people died during the Martial law.
However, during the time of Marcos, there was complete chaos in the country and several assasination attempts had been made to Marcos family.
To make it simple, why was Martial Law declared? Simple reason: some powerful people in the country try to control or take away the power of the government. That was one of the reasons why during Marcos regime there were a lot of communists parties at that time.
In a blog post of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said "the people during Marcos regime were manipulated by rich people and took advantage of the death of Ninoy Aquino."
I think the time of President Marcos is still happening today. oligarchs have complete control in our Philippine media and televisions, so Filipinos can be brainwashed to their beliefs that the current administration is going to declare another Martial Law.
