Is VP Leni Robredo Going To Run For President in 2022?

According to social media reports, Vice President Leni Robredo might consider to run for president in 2022. Though Robredo said that she will not run for president in 2022 in one of her interviews, some people believe that she has an ambition to become the next president.

"I will continue to fight against things I do not believe in. If being an opposition leader entails that, then I will be an opposition leader," Vice President Leni Robredo said these words against Duterte Administration.

These words from Robredo have so many meanings that she might plan to run for president in 2022. Despite many allegations that she cheated last May Election 2016 against former Senator Bongbong Marcos, Jr. for vice presidency, Robredo still believes that a lot of people will support her when she plans to run for president according to some reports.

In a blog post of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said "it is the right of Ms. Robredo to run for president in 2022, but I don't think she will have the support of a majority of Filipino people especially the she is a hindrance to progress of our country when she always opposed to our government's plans on how to make the Philippines a better and safe country for everyone."

Right now, these are just speculations and talks of netizens circulated on social media that Robredo wanted to avenge the humiliation about her recent resignation as one of the cabinet members of President Duterte.

I don't know if Leni Robredo or Mar Roxas will be their presidential candidate of Liberal Party (LP) in 2022, because Roxas supporters said that they will support him if ever he plans to run again for the presidency. But, do you think Robredo would just sit around and do nothing? Of course, Robredo herself might consider to run for president.

Mr. Dy added, "Robredo still thinks that many Filipinos want her to be the next president, which I think she's too ambitious to become the next president of the Philippines. But I respect her decision if she really wants it. I don't feel like she deserves to be the next president. "
