If Pacquiao Wins Against Mayweather, He Should Fight Marquez Next

By Alon Calinao Dy: Mayweather may be the hardest opponent of Pacquiao these days with a perfect record of his professional boxing career. Pacquiao, on the other hand, has not confessed about his retirement in the sweet science after this much-anticipated battle of the decade.

Although it would not be easy and certainly Pacquiao is getting to knock Mayweather out or win the bout via unanimous decision, Marquez's trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristáin now believes that Pacquiao would win the competition convincingly since the American fighter has not faced the same caliber boxer like Pacquiao.

In fact, in a recent interview, veteran Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez, who had  four fights against the Filipino boxing icon, warned the undefeated American to train hard and watch Pacquiao's speed and power as it might pose big risks on his defense.

In the United States, fans of Mayweather are going to drop their money on him, but the future hall-of-fame Beristain and other boxing experts recognize that Pacquiao is very determined to win 'the most lucrative fight of the century.'

Boxing fans also have speculations what if Pacquiao wins against Mayweather, he should fight Marquez next to avenge his last loss. Although I doubt Marquez would give Pacquiao another fight because he is still having a knee problem, it can't be denied that this is a once-in-lifetime opportunity to have the biggest payday of his entire career if he chooses to fight the Filipino congressman.
