US President Trump Rejects To Meet Senator Antonio Trillanes IV
According to the news report, the relationship between the United States and the Philippines is very good and the US president is looking forward to meet Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte at the ASEAN Summit in November.
In a blog post of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said, "I think everyone is excited to see the US president and the Philippine president talking at each other since they have a strong campaign against illegal drugs."
In one of the reports that Trump did make a bold statement against Trillanes and said, "senator who? Like I said, senator who? The lil narco who met with Marco? How'd he get a visa? Isn't he wanted, doesn't he have an arrest warrant or something?"
It's true that Trillanes met with US senators and some US government officials and that he strongly opposed to the war on drugs of President Duterte. Whether the story is true or not that Trump did a strong comment about Trillanes, it is evident that the US President supports the good advocacy of Duterte in its war on drugs.
