Watch Interview: US Senator Richard Black Has So Much Respect With President Rodrigo Duterte
By Alon Calinao Dy: One US senator defended President Rodrigo Duterte after many reports said that Duterte has violated human rights of the Filipino people in his country.
President Duterte had been a victim of biased news reports in the Philippines before he became a president and after he took the office as the Head of the State.
Virginia State Senator Richard Black understood that being anoited leader in the country like Philippines was not easy to govern especially when the government is facing rampant illegal drugs that continue to destroy the lives of innocent children.
The US Senator Black said in an interview with EIR Asia expert Mike Billington about his war against illegal drugs in the Philippines, "the people of the Philippines elected Rodrigo Duterte since they wanted law and order, and he gave it to them. They have chisen a very strong ruler."
Even in other countries, world leaders knew that some government officials in the Philippines are drug protectors and those who are considered as "drug protectors" and "untouchables" because of so much power and money that came from selling and trading illegal drugs.
The US senator added that "it would be a shame to lose our alliance with the Philippines." Most of the time, some Philippine politicians are using human rights to cover up their crimes and end up as if they are victims when in fact they are the criminals.
In a blog post of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said "President Duterte knew that corrupt government officials are hypocrite people. Some of them are pretending that they support Duterte's campaign against illegal drugs but they are the masterminds."
The current government's war on drugs is not that easy since many organizations like CBCP, Human Rights, and the opposition are using everyday killings to discredit the good intention of the president to have a country with the lowest crime rate.
It is true that the world is filled with violence as criminals carry deadly weapons to protect their drug business. Is not it wonderful that there is someone out there like President Duterte who hunts them down one by one?
