PNoy To Protect Their Father's Legacy Against Marcoses
By Alon Calinao Dy: Ex-President Benigno Aquino III gave a warning shot to all Marcos lotalists and supporters that he wouldn’t stand and fight for the legacy of his father in this country.
Aquino believed that the late President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., was a dictator and should not be buried at the Libingan Ng mga Bayani or have a heroes' burial as he committed a lot of human abuses during his reign.
Aquino also feared about the current status of Duterte administration that it might follow the footsteps of the late Marcos and have a plan in declaring a martial law.
According to the blog of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said "President Duterte got the support of most Filipinos around the world including the Armed Forces of the Philippines and policemen. So I don't think it is possible."
In one of the interviews of former president Aquino he said:
“Hindi ko matatanggap na walang nangyari sa pagkamatay ng tatay ko at iba pa nating mga kababayan, libo-libo po. ‘ailangang ibuhos ko ‘yung magagawa ko. Kung buhay ko ang katapat iyon lang ang tangan sa akin, e dapat hindi ganun kaimportante ‘yung buhay ko dahil hindi ko mailalaban ‘yung ipinaglaban ng tatay ko. Hindi magkakaroon ng kabuluhan."
In several recent news, many Filipinos approved the burial of late President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., and blamed the rule of Aquino as the starting point why Philippines became poor and why corruption among the politicians spread like a virus.
I guess now is the time to forget the past issues between Marcos and Aquino as everyone needs to move forward for a bright future. I believe that every Filipino should have a unity as it's not right to teach our children about hate and unwilling to forgive other people.
