Marcos Family Thankful To Duterte Administration And To All Filipinos Who Support Them

By Alon Calinao Dy: President Rodrigo Duterte wanted to unite the all Filipinos and sent a flower arrangement for the burial ceremony of the late President Ferdinand Marcos at the Heroes' Cemetery.

Marcos family and their supporters had been longing this day to bury the late president Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani for being a former soldier and a president that created a lot of useful establishments that Filipinos still enjoyed these days.

In a blog post of Mr. Alon Calinao Dy, he said "President Duterte has fulfilled his long-time promise that he would allow to bury the late President Marcos at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani. He is a man of honor."

The decision to bury the late president Ferdinand Marcos is the decision of a majority of Filipinos around the world not just a personal decision of the Marcos family.  "If there are human rights violations before, it is time to heal these wounds no matter how deep the scars," Mr. Dy commented on his personal blog.

Former Senator Bongbong Marcos and the whole family thanked Duterte for recognizing his father’s service to the nation and for supporting his family. Also, many Marcos loyalists extended their support through solemn prayer as they believed that the late president is a true hero that Filipinos never have had.

It is true that Filipinos could not move on about what happened in the past. As long as there are certain political groups who continue to fight each other and never let go their hatred and pain, I guess Philippines will always be divided. Without a strong unity among each other, Filipinos are like idiots controlled by these powerful families.

While watching Bongbong Marcos' speech, he said "Lubos ang aming pasasalamat na pagkatapos ng 27 taon, naging isang katuparan ang mabigay sa aking ama ang tunay at karapat-dapat nyang pagkilala," I admired his sincerity and his gratitude for giving a national honorary funeral that his father truly deserve.

Netizens thanked Duterte administration for doing the right thing, for being opened, and for listening to people's outcry. In fact, President Duterte also sent flowers to the late martyred Sen. Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., as he wanted to unite all Filipinos from all political parties.
