Netizens Ask in Social Media Networks: Where is The President?

By Alon Calinao Dy: The commander-in-chief, which is the president, is supposedly to give the honor of the fallen heroes in Mamasapano town, Maguindanao, last Sunday.

Although President Aquino called for lawmakers to honor the 44 slain policemen for sacrificing their lives in the service of the country, a lot of people are still asking these days: where is the head of the state when the dead bodies of the SAF members arrived yesterday at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City?

According to the news report, Pnoy was spotted in Laguna for the inauguration of a Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Plant, rather than meeting the families of the slain SAF members. Vice President Binay, Senator Nancy Binay, Former President Fidel Ramos and other high-ranking military officials were present yesterday to present honor of their heroic acts of courage and bravery.

The Aquino administration denied that they did not intend to disrespect the arrival honors of the brave soldiers, but he was expected to attend another scheduled event. He just brushed aside the critics from the people and media.

Senators Alan Peter Cayetano and JV Ejercito, who are the lawmakers of the Bansang Moro Law, took back their support since the MILF was primarily involved in the killings of these elite SAF members.
